Bel-Aire Elementary School
A Message from the Principal
Did
you know that the Bald Eagle was officially declared the national emblem of the
United States by the Second Continental Congress in 1782? It was selected by
the USA’s founding fathers because it is a species unique to North America. The
Bald Eagle has since become the living symbol of freedom, spirit, and pursuit of
excellence.
It is fitting that the eagle is the mascot of Bel-Aire Elementary School. At Bel-Aire, we celebrate our students’ freedom to expect and receive a quality education. We are constantly in the pursuit of excellence, and we celebrate the spirit of our forefathers as we see the possibilities of our country’s future in the potential of each student.
As your principal, I look forward to working with you to maintain the Bel-Aire Elementary tradition of excellence. I believe the education of every child is a shared experience. The school plays a major role that is only surpassed by that of the home and family. The community in which a child lives certainly impacts the child’s growth and development.
Probably the one greatest contribution from all of these is to value education. When we value education and the children know that it is important, they will also see its value and work to be the best that they can be. These are the students with whom we will have our best results.
Every child has talent. Every child has the ability to dream. The talents they have and the extent of their dreams are in our hands. Together we can begin an educational journey for these students who will one day lead our nation. It is our responsibility to do an outstanding job. The Bel-Aire community, extended families, and our partners in education will be working together with our parents to nurture world-class learners with the citizenship required to become excellent middle school students.
